Why most LA businesses are overpaying for linen service
You run a restaurant and your linen is on a managed-rental contract from one of the big chains (Cintas, UniFirst, Aramark). They lock you in for 60 months, charge $0.95 per apron per week regardless of usage, send drivers who damage linen and call it normal wear, and the contract auto-renews unless you fight. You'd pay 30% less to own your own linens and use a wash & press service.
FOLD is different
FOLD charges per-piece menu linen press. A typical 60-seat restaurant has 60–120 lbs of linen rotation per week. At 80 lbs that's $140 + $9 fee = $149/week, $645/month. The chain rental on the same volume is usually $1,000+. You also own your own linens (we're a service, not a rental contract) so they're yours to keep.

How it works

- We schedule a route. Most LA commercial accounts are on a recurring weekly or twice-weekly route. Pickup window is your call — many of our gym/restaurant clients are after-hours pickups.
- We wash and press at our LA facility. 25-year-old dry-cleaning operation. Your linen never leaves Los Angeles.
- Delivery before your shift starts. We aim for pre-7am delivery for restaurants, pre-8am for medspas, pre-6am for boutique hotels. Tell us your needs.
- Invoice net-30 or charge a card on file — your call.
First pickup 50% off — same as residential.
If you’ve never used FOLD, your first pickup is half-price so you can evaluate quality without commitment. After that, regular per-pound pricing. No contracts ever.
FAQ
Do I need to provide my own linen?
Yes. FOLD is a wash & press service, not a linen rental program. Most of our commercial clients prefer this model because it means they own their inventory and aren’t locked into a 60-month rental contract.
What’s the minimum pickup size?
15 lbs (~$26.25 in linen at per-piece menu + $9 service fee = $35.25 minimum). Most commercial pickups are 50–500 lbs so the minimum rarely matters.
Can you handle bleachable whites separately?
Yes. We run separate whites-only and colors cycles. Tell us at intake which items are sortable.
Do you do delicate fabrics like silk or linen napkins?
Yes — we run cold-water gentle cycles for delicates and natural-fiber napkins. Tag them at pickup or label the bag.
Do you offer a recurring route?
Yes. Most commercial clients are on a fixed weekly or twice-weekly route. Set it up via email or get one pickup done first to confirm fit.
Can I see a sample wash before committing?
Absolutely. Send a 15–30 lb sample bag for the first pickup (50% off promo applies) and evaluate quality on real loads.
Damage protection?
Up to $250 cash per item, $500 cash per order. Higher than chain services that cap at $50 store credit. Read the full terms.
