FOLD is the pickup & delivery layer on top of University Laundry Services LLC — a Los Angeles dry-cleaning operation that has been quietly handling LA’s laundry since 2001. We’re not a venture-funded app. We don’t outsource. We own the facilities, employ the drivers, and run the equipment. We added the pickup layer because LA wanted it; the rest of the operation has been here all along.

Who runs it
Brandon Adams is the founder and operator. The phone number on this site — (310) 991‑8889 — is his cell. The email — hello@getfold.co — goes to a real inbox he reads. If something goes wrong with your laundry, you talk to Brandon. Not a chatbot, not an outsourced support team in a different time zone, not "Brian K., your customer success specialist." Brandon.
That’s the entire model. Twenty-five years of dry-cleaning experience compressed into a phone you can text from your couch.
What we do
- Wash & fold — per-pound, $60 minimum pickup, 24–48 hour standard turnaround.
- Hand-finish on hangers — per-piece, pressed and delivered on hangers (the premium tier).
- Linen press — sheets, towels, table linens, duvet covers; per-piece menu.
- Dry cleaning — per-garment, photo-quote, full service for shirts/suits/dresses/specialty items.
- Specialty items — comforters, pillows, rugs, sleeping bags. Toss them in the same bag.

Why we built the pickup layer
The dry-cleaning operation has been profitable for two decades without an app. We added pickup because LA changed: more remote workers, more dual-income households, more people who would pay $9 in service fees to never think about laundry again on a Sunday afternoon. The math is straightforward — we already had the equipment, the chemistry, the staff, the trucks. Building the technology layer on top was the small lift.

- Service area: LA Westside (Brentwood, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Westwood, Pacific Palisades, Marina del Rey, Culver City, Mar Vista, Venice) and the entire San Fernando Valley.
- Damage protection: $250 per item, $500 per order, refunded to your card — not capped at "store credit."

How to start
Don’t overthink it. First pickup is 50% off. No card on file required, no contract, no monthly minimum. If we don’t hold up, you don’t come back. That’s the whole pitch.
